SOS Village Faisalabad

yestrday i went to SOS Village faisalabad, met with Mr. Tasawer Hussain Naqvi , Director of Village, a symphetic n down to earth man, talking about relationship harmony mental peace n above all a dedicated person for the cause.....
The discussion circled around the history of SOS, their expansion to a global network, according top him SOS is 2nd largest organization after UN which is working for the better life of children.....
My interest was in their recruitment policies, he replied back that currently three ways are there in which we accept a needy child.

1. His/Her parents must have died.
2. His/Her mom has died.
3. Parents divorced and none of the party is taking care of his/her.

Life sumtimes gets so cruel that you even youself never imagine of. I asked what about the child who were lost and someone else bring at your place, what you do with the, accept or simple reject. He in a encouraging voice stated that currently there is no written policy against this issue, but there are 3 cases which ae are taking care of, nice job Director.

Boys upto age of 12 stay in a co-hostel, n after that they are shifted to boys youth hostel which is adjacent to the main building, boys are financed upto their education at maximum what they required n as soon as they get the job, they have to levae the place, on the other end girls are financed for their education n they have to leave the place after marriage. Mr. Tasawar said that at any cost we never call them orphan, they are provided with a guardian which they call mother, elder sis, etc. they have been provided with furnished rooms n finally a good environment for educational, physical as well as spiritual grooming.

All the ex-residents of sos village faisalbad come back to village every year on March 23, to spend one full day at the place where they used to live, where they spent sweet memories, the place which made them capable enough n strong enough to see in the eyes of cruel n fast paced and materialistic life, the place at which they spend the days they will never forget.
